Hello members and new incomers! This is the official Windsor High School website in case you missed anything from a meeting, want to know when upcoming events are, or want to have a better understanding on what Key Club is about. Feel free to browse around, if you have any questions you may contact any of the officers.
What is Key Club?
Key Club is not a club consisting of High School students making keys. Key Club is an organized group of students in a high school environment that want to improve their local community, school and world. Students do this by participating in several service projects over the year and also by volunteering inside and outside of school helping out as much as we can while having fun at the same time!
What does KEY stand for?
"KEY" actually stands for Kiwanis Educating Youth.
Now you may be wondering who Kiwanis are.
Kiwanis is a service club that sponsors us. Each Key Club has their own Kiwanis support. They provide ideas, money, and encouragement, and helpful volunteers to the services we do around our community and school & vice versa.
Why should I join Key Club?
Key Club is a great way to get your high school community service requirement fulfilled. Our club also provides the opportunity for members to work alongside others to help further our school and community. It's a chance to become a part of a worldwide organization. Key Club is a way for you to give back to the community, make new friends, to become a better person, its also a chance to develop leadership skills, it looks great on college and scholarship applications because it is international, it is not only in the United states but 30 other countries such as Australia, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, England, German, Italy, Jamaica, Malaysia, New Zealand, Panama, Philippines, and South Korea. Key Club is the stepping stone to a rewarding lifestyle of commitment to service and helping others! After Key Club people have the opportunity to join other branches of Kiwanis International such as Circle K Club in college and then Kiwanis Club after college.
